At Parkway Methodist Church, we believe the Bible is the authoritative Word of God and is our guide for faith and practice. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and is the only way to salvation and eternal life. We believe salvation is by grace through faith in the blood that Jesus shed on the cross, with repentance of sins. We believe the blood of Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit can cleanse the believer from all sin. We believe at Christ's return there will be a resurrection of both the saved and the lost - the lost to eternal damnation and the saved to eternal life.

HOW ARE WE MAKING DISCIPLES AT PARKWAY?

WORSHIP - Ignite (REFOCUS) people for the discipleship purpose. The refocusing stage is ordered by the Great Commandment. (Matthew 22:37-40) Worship is the primary purpose we live for.


EVANGELISM - Invite (RENEW) people into the discipleship process. The renewing stage is ordered by the Great Commission. (Matthew 18:18-20) Evangelism as the primary practice we live out.


DISCIPLESHIP - Infuse (RESHAPE) people with discipleship principles. The reshanping stage is ordered by a Great Conviction. (Matthew 18:20-28; Acts 2:42) Discipleship teaches powerful principles we live by.


FELLOWSHIP - Involve (REINFORCE) people in the discipleship partnership. The reinforcement stage is ordered by Great Cooperation (Acts 2:40-47; Hebrews 10:24-25) Fellowship unites the promised people we live with.


SERVICE - Inspire (RELEASE) people toward discipleship progress. The releasing stage is ordered by Great Compassion. (Ephesians 4:11-12; Romans 12:4-8; 1 Corinthians 12:27-31) Service is the personal profession we live out.








Refocusing - We seek to refocus our members on Jesus Christ, the source of real life. Currently our worship opportunities include:

  • Come and Sense God's Presence

    • Renewing - We seek to invite all to renew their lives in Jewus Christ. The goal of everything we do is to offer new life, spiritual renewal to every person we meet. We value people. We value you.

    Reshaping - We seek to reshape our members after the model of Jesus Christ through Christian Education and Discipleship. Currently our discipleship opportunities include:

  • Sunday School
  • Bible Studies
  • Discipleship Training
  • Ministry Training

    • Reinforcing - We seek to reinforce our members through a family atmosphere where every person is valued. Currently our fellowship opportunities include:

  • Monthly Fellowship Suppers
  • Small Education and Training Classes
  • Annual Membership Events
  • Attending Regional Events Together

    • Releasing - We seek to release our members to serve Christ with their unique abilities, gifts, and callings.
